Business Foundations is a full‑time, one‑term pathway program designed for students who do not meet the pre-requisites for direct entry into Business Administration. This four‑course program builds the essential skills and knowledge needed to progress into further post‑secondary business studies. Upon successful completion, students are eligible to enter Year 1 of NAIT’s Business Administration program at the JR Shaw School of Business.

Students registering in this program will be registered into the (4) courses that comprise the program. These are BUSF851 Effective Communications, BUSF856 Business Math, BUSF860 Introduction to Business, and BUSF865 Strategies for Student Success. No part-time or individual course registrations permitted. Students may only take this program once - retakes are not permitted. This is a full-time program with classes running Monday through Thursday, during the day on weekdays, with a hybrid schedule. This means some days are on campus learning and some days are online learning. Students are expected to be in class during set times per the program schedule, as these are not self-paced (asynchronous) courses.
