In NAIT's Fiber Optics Certification program, you will learn the practical aspects of working with fiber optic cables, including connectorization, fusion splicing and testing; you will also prepare for the Fiber Optics Association (FOA) exam.

By the end of the program, you will have received instruction on:

With your CFOT designation, you will have the knowledge and skills to work with state-of-the-art cabling for telephones, security systems and LANs. You will be able to terminate and splice fiber optic cables as well as troubleshoot and document fiber systems within industry specifications.

The FOA exam is administered on the last day of the CFOT100 course; a mark of 70% is required to pass.
