Course Description

Discover the principles and practices of Metal Inert Gas (MIG) welding through the study of theory and application in a shop environment. Explore welder setup, diagnostics, and common weld problems. Become skilled in MIG welding through practice on a variety of different gauges of sheet metal. Today most vehicles are manufactured using high strength low-alloy steels, and MIG welding is commonly used to preserve the characteristics of the metals. With the knowledge and skills gained in this course, you will be able to use a MIG welder on your own projects.
