Course Description

Dive into the pivotal guidelines that shape the duties of an occupational health and safety technician in Canada, including the Act, Code, and Regulations; Canada Labour Code Part II; and CRSP Code of Ethics. This course explores ethical principles and theories, equipping you with the foundation to make informed decisions in your professional life. Engage in thought-provoking readings and participate in enriching discussions, challenging you to critically assess ethical dilemmas and articulate your decision-making processes. With the knowledge gained in this course, you’ll be able to apply sound ethical decision-making to ethical dilemma case studies involving occupational health and safety. This course is intended for those receiving their CRST designation and for registered, practicing CRSTs and CRSPs who are required to complete their Continuous Professional Development (CPD). If you are completing the CRST designation you must complete CRST101 as the prerequisite for this course. If you are registered with the BCRSP you are not required to complete CRST101.
