Course Description

As the automotive industry transitions to electric and hybrid vehicles, autobody professionals must adapt to new technologies, safety protocols, and repair techniques. This course provides foundational knowledge for identifying EVs, ensuring workplace safety, and applying best practices. Participants will explore EV components, diagnostics, and shutdown procedures while gaining hands-on experience with industry-standard tools and protocols.With the skills gained in this course, you will be able to safely prepare EV and hybrid vehicles for autobody repair, following regulatory and manufacturer standards.Upon successful completion of the competency assessment, you will earn a NAIT Microcredential and receive a Digital Badge you can share on social media and with your network.Prerequisite – Proof of QualificationTo register for this course, students must confirm they meet the prerequisite by uploading proof of certification as one of the following:- Autobody Journeyperson- Red Seal Endorsed- Apprenticeship Student – Level 3 or higherAccepted Documents:- Journeyman Certificate- Red Seal - Apprenticeship Record (indicating Level 3 or higher)Upload Instructions:Please upload a clear PDF or image file below prior to registration.
