Course Description

This course is for beginners who want to learn how to write computer programs using the C programming language. You don’t need any programming experience — just basic computer and internet skills.

You’ll learn how to write C programs step-by-step, starting with simple concepts like variables and calculations and moving on to more advanced topics like memory, pointers, and functions. You’ll also learn how to think like a programmer and solve problems using logic.

What makes this course different is that you’ll also learn how to use AI tools like ChatGPT and GitHub Copilot. These tools will help you:
•    Understand how your code works
•    Find and fix errors
•    Write code faster
•    Turn your ideas into working programs
•    Visualize how data moves in your code

This course follows the content needed to prepare for the CLA – C Programming Language Certified Associate exam from the C++ Institute (cppinstitute.org), an industry-recognized certification.

You’ll complete fun lab exercises, get help from classmates and instructors, and build a real C program as your final project. You'll also practice using AI tools the way real software developers use them in the workplace.
