Course Description

Technical drawings are essential in industry. The ability to interpret and visualize these drawings is critical to communicating multiple layers of meaning and information. Describe the different types of 2D and 3D drawings and their various uses. Measure lengths using scales and learn to utilize the appropriate scale to present specific types of information. Identify the correlation of different views and methods of cross-referencing. You will also become very familiar with the common abbreviations, symbols and standards used in construction drawings. With the skills gained in this course, you will be able to describe the various types of drawings and their industry uses, as well as interpret simple drawings.
