Course Description

Effective crisis management is a proactive, organized and coordinated approach that anticipates, attempts to avert, and prepares to meet and adapt to a crisis in order to reduce the impact or harm it may cause. With the knowledge gained in this course, you will be to describe how an organization establishes an overall framework by which an organization anticipates, prepares for, responds to, recovers from, and mitigates the impacts of a wide variety of incidents that could adversely affect people (both inside and outside the organization), its assets, the environment, its finances, its ability to meet its regulatory, legal or contractual obligations, or its reputation. Explore how you can use plans, training, and procedures to bring order to chaos.
