Course Description

Disasters are increasing in frequency and severity due to rapid urbanization, shifting demographics, climate change, and the growing interdependence of global systems. To respond effectively, communities and organizations require bold, strategic leadership. This course explores current frameworks and tools that support the development of practical strategies in the face of uncertainty. Participants will examine the role of Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) in relation to mitigation, preparedness, and adaptation. By investigating the interconnected dynamics of risk, resilience, and systems change, you will be able to critically engage with theories of crisis leadership and resilience-building in complex environments.
