Course Description

Mediation is an interactive process where an impartial third party assists disputing parties in resolving conflict through the use of organized communication and negotiation techniques. With the skills gained in this course, you will be able to prepare and conduct a mediation session. In this highly interactive and practical course, you will be able to determine where mediation is appropriate and apply the 5-step mediation process to obtain a resolution. You will also be able to describe the ethical considerations of mediation. Multiple opportunities will be provided to discuss and practice mediation through active scenarios to determine the best approach for mediation.
